The Gents club competitions start in April with knockout competitions. The Collins Cup (Singles), the Robertson Cup (Foursomes) and the Munro Cup (4 ball) which are played throughout the season. Entry sheets for these competitions, Tee Reservations for Medals and general Club competitions are placed on the Notice Board in the Gents Locker room. You are invited to join in any or all of these competitions. The list closure date for these competitions is noted in these sheets and is usually about the 26th March. If you require a partner for the Robertson or the Munro, there is a sheet on the Notice Board for that purpose and Match & Handicap committee will help to find you a partner.
There are Gents medals every Wednesday, which are not balloted and you arrange your own game, and nearly every Saturday with only a few exceptions when the course is closed all day, e.g. the Member and Guest. The optional Saturday medals allow Gents to either play in them or not to play in them and play in social games of their choice. Some of the Medals are qualifiers for other trophies played for throughout the season. The medal sheets for Saturday medals are posted in the Gents locker room 2 weeks in advance and taken down by the professional on the Wednesday before the Medal, where you can still phone for a tee off time.
There is a club championship played for in a week in June, qualification is in the early season medals. We also have a scratch 36 hole competition in September and new this year a 36 hole Handicap competition played the same day.

If you are available to play on a Wednesday morning and do not have a partner, we are running a social game one Wednesday a month at a specified time. All the cards are mixed together so that you play with different partners each time which will help you mix with regulars. Just add your name to the list on the board.
